The Fourth Estate on Tuesday revealed that the Ministry of Roads and Highways had awarded 81 sole-sourced contracts in seven months worth over GHS 73 billion under its Big Push flagship programme.

The publication, which was an analysis of data obtained by The Fourth Estate from the Ministry of Roads and Highways, underscored the glaring defiance of the governing NDC’s promises and President Mahama’s vow to minimise sole-source procurement in favour of a competitive bidding process

Following the publication, the Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, appeared before Parliament to address the house on the issues that had emerged on how the contracts had been awarded under the Big Push Programme.

In his statement to the lawmakers filled with innuendos, the minister accused The Fourth Estate of fabricating the information used for the story.

In the interest of transparency, we publish below the full list of the 81 sole-sourced contracts released to The Fourth Estate by the Ministry of Roads and Highways.
